About Me

A Unique Path to Acupuncture
My journey into acupuncture has been anything but conventional. I spent 20 years working in the performing arts as a performer, choreographer, and dance teacher. This rich experience deepened my fascination with anatomy and movement, ultimately leading me to qualify as a Level 3 Personal Trainer to better support my work and my students.

Personal Healing Journey
After experiencing my own physical challenges, including a back injury and migraines, I discovered the transformative power of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. The profound impact it had on my health later inspired me to train at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, where I completed 3.5 years of rigorous study, earning a BSc(Hons) in Acupuncture.

Specialist Expertise
I specialise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Acupuncture, blending these approaches to address the physical, emotional, and energetic needs of my patients. I’m also a proud member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).

Life Beyond the Clinic
Outside of my practice, I enjoy yoga, reading, watching football, and experimenting in the kitchen. My ultimate happy place? Relaxing on the sofa with a strong coffee, a slice of cake, and a good book.

Techniques

In my treatments, I blend the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Elements Acupuncture to create a truly holistic approach to health and well-being. TCM focuses on restoring harmony within the body by addressing imbalances in energy flow (Qi) and organ systems, while Five Elements Acupuncture delves into the emotional and spiritual aspects of well-being, aligning treatments with the natural elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

By combining these approaches, I provide personalised treatments that address the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—offering a deeply holistic and well-rounded path to healing and vitality.

In addition, I incorporate techniques such as cupping, guasha, moxibustion, and tuina (therapeutic massage) to complement acupuncture. These methods are chosen based on your unique needs, enhancing circulation, releasing tension, and promoting relaxation, ensuring a comprehensive treatment experience.

Chinese Medicine is one of the oldest healing systems in the world, with origins tracing back over 2,000 years. Rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy, it is based on the principles of balance and harmony within the body, mind, and environment. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasizes the concept of Qi (energy) flowing through meridians, or pathways, in the body. When Qi is balanced and flows freely, health is maintained; when disrupted, illness can arise.

The Five Elements system—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—adds a deeply holistic perspective, connecting physical health to emotional and spiritual well-being. It views individuals as interconnected with nature, with each element influencing specific organs and emotions.

By combining TCM’s foundational principles with the Five Elements, Chinese Medicine continues to provide a timeless, comprehensive approach to health and healing.
